Transitional Housing
Our Transitional Housing program offers temporary housing with supportive services for individuals exiting prison or residential treatment programs. Services include:
- Case management
- Bus passes
- Food assistance
- Clothing assistance
- Small appliances
- Referrals to community partner agencies
We provide an atmosphere where individuals can live independently with minimal supervision. Our transitional housing is located in the Northeast sector of Houston. The goal is to ensure stability and support for a successful transition to Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH).
Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH)
This program offers long-term housing and assistance for individuals who have been homeless or chronically homeless for over two years. Participants in the PSH program are required to engage in our “WORK TO OWN” program, which leads to home ownership after seven years.
Services provided include:
- Supportive services
- Furniture through the Houston Furniture Bank
- Utility support from community partners
- Case management services
- Referrals to substance abuse outpatient services
- Permanent job opportunities with JHCOC, working towards building better communities
